Can’t Keep a Good Cat Down

25 02 2012

I’m baaaack!

One minute I’m enjoying Valentine’s Day, and the next thing I  remember is noticing that patches of my beautiful fur have been shaved. (You can see the bare spot on my arm in this photo.  It looks dreadful.  I am not amused by it.)

From what I’ve been told, the surgery went well and I’m very happy to put the entire experience behind me, so there will be no gory details of what I went through (short version: endoscopic removal of a hairball).  I’m actually trying to block the whole thing out.

What I do want to take from the experience is the generous outpouring of care, love, and concern from all of my online friends while I was out of commission.  You make me purr and I thank you!

xo,

Gary

Gary–your return to your blog brought a big smile to my face today! I can understand your concern over your shaved paw, but that fur will grow back in time. Look on the bright side: you still have your handsome face, and you learned how much your online friends love you! ❤

Very true, Carolyn. And this is what I am focusing on. (all the while trying not to look at my shaved wrist!)

So happy to hear you have recovered Gary. I worried about you when I found out all that was going on! I bet you are so glad to be home.

Hi Susan! Thanks so much. You’re right, I’m very glad to be home. Wishing I could have one of your world-famous “snorgles” about now.
