Windows on the World

18 03 2012

I apologize for not posting in awhile but I’ve been distracted by other important things like sleeping.  And eating.  And looking out the windows.  Not the window in the above photo — that’s one of my OLD windows in Virginia Beach.

I love to look out windows.  You never know what you’ll see.  The other morning I watched the ducks having their morning swim in the pond as the first rabbits of spring scampered across the grass.  And I thought to myself, “Life is good.”

Then I remembered how sad I was five years ago when we left Virginia Beach because I missed my window near the mimosa tree where bees would buzz back and forth all day.  What I didn’t realize at the time was that there were even better and more fun things to watch outside my new windows, like them:

and him (his name is Noser):

oh, and these guys too:

I think there may be a lesson here somewhere.

Still, it would be quite nice to have a mimosa tree.

Gary–Thank you so much for sharing these beautiful pictures. I can see why you enjoy looking out windows so much with these views of nature and wildlife. Of course you need to catch up on your sleep after such a major activity as this. And you can dream of your old mimosa tree as you doze. 🙂

Wow, that is some amazing wildlife you have there! My girls like to look out the window, but it is mostly birds where we live. We don’t even have squirrels here!
