I’m not 100 % sure about this, so don’t quote me, but I think cats invented yoga. Think about it. What other animal (human or otherwise) has stretching and poses down to a science the way cats do?
I guess that’s why I take issue with the fact that one of the most popular yoga poses is the Down Face Dog. Really??? How about the Up Face Cat? Now that’s a pose I can get into!

As a long time yogi, let me say that I am in complete agreement with you Gary. I’m sure that some cat in India designed a series of poses (especially Down Facing CAT!) and some human borrowed them and took credit. Yoga is OWNED by cats, so be proud of your ancestors and S-T-R-E-T-C-H!
I only wish I could stretch as well as a kitty! I do my best.
